Working together, we can harness the latest technology innovations that will help enable the UK's transition to net zero. At our event, Towards Net Zero, on 26 Jan, we will be exploring this and more.

In June 2020 we launched the Green Tech Innovation Platform. Working with Plug and Play, the world’s leading innovation platform, our aim is to uncover the latest technologies that could support us and our customers to meet their green ambitions. Showcasing new thinking from the world of technology and the public sector, this event will explore the vital role that technology and working together can play in the UK’s green recovery.

The event is designed for local authorities, wider public sector organisations and those who want to be up to speed with the latest innovation and understand better its importance in meeting their own green recovery ambitions.

This not-to-be-missed event is hosted by Gemma Milne, science and technology journalist and broadcaster.

HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT:

Opening with…the event will open with a welcome from Dean Terry, MD for Corporate & Public Sector at BT, followed by Andy Wales, Director of Digital Impact & Sustainability, who will outline the importance of green recovery and the role the tech sector can play in achieving these goals.

Delve into our Fireside Chats…cosy as it sounds, our guests will talk more on the hottest topics such as Smart Buildings, Smart Streets and remote diagnostics. These subjects are more important than ever due to the shift towards remote working and the emphasis on recovery in 2021.

Meet the Panel…our moderator, Gemma Milne will chair a discussion around one of the event’s key questions - How can the UK best deliver a tech driven recovery from COVID 19 when you can’t buy a smart city or town off the shelf?
